I am what I am

'But by the grace of God I am what I am' 1 Corinthians 15:10

What confidence to know and be comfortable with who you are. Apostle Paul was a man who had no question about his identity or his calling; humble of his works for God and never having the thought that he has arrived.

I have been reflecting on the issue of identity and purpose recently; the burden of walking according to God's plan and purpose for which I was created has been quite heavy in my heart. I keep asking the question, 'Am I in your purpose oh Lord' and I keep getting the quiet positive assurance and the encouragement to keep on. But sometimes that feeling of wanting more right now keeps creeping in and when it does, I find myself desiring more gifts, more talent, more of what makes other people that I admire be a success. Thank God for the Holy Spirit that always reminds me of what I do have and have been blessed with; the gift of writing, being a vessel of knowledge and teaching.

It took me sometime, but I have come to accept that I am what I am by the grace of God and I am learning not to desire what anyone else has irrespective. So I will continue to write as the Lord gives me insights, it might only be read by one, a few or many but I know those that God wants to reach and touch through me will surely be accomplished.

What about you? Have you accepted who you are? Or are you still coveting the life of someone else? Every child of God has a purpose to fulfil on earth, have you discovered yours or are you living just to 'enjoy' yourself without any thoughts of furthering God's Kingdom?

Can we boldly and with confidence like Apostle Paul say; ".... and His grace toward me was not in vain"

I would love to hear the testimony of what God is doing in your life; write me through this blog site.

Till next time let your light shine.

Shalom
