#Wordfortheweek 2019 Week 5 #Choices

“For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God created man without sin in the beginning, He created everything that man needed to live on earth. And He also gave man free-will to make his choices.

As believers under grace, we still have free-will to make choices - how we live, what we do, what we say, how we think and so forth.

Grace gives us access into the Kingdom of God and enables us to live the Kingdom way here on earth. By our free-will, we comply with the principles and standards of the Kingdom, It is not forced on us even by grace.

Many wait for ‘grace’ to make those choices for them, and then use ‘grace’ as excuse for their actions. Grace of God does not excuse sin. Grace of God enables you to live without sin. You make the decision not to sin, grace will enable you not to sin.

You decide. Your choice.

Even if you are born-again, for this we know that no fornicator, unclean (indecent, immoral) person, nor covetous (greedy) man, who is an idolater (other things first in your life than God), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Elohim God.

What choices are you making with the grace of God? This week, be mindful and conscious about the decisions and choices you make - are they a reflection of the Kingdom?

#Prayerfortheweek
Almighty Father, thank You for giving me the gift of free-will. Give me the grace to choose a holy and righteous life, serving You all the days of my life. May my life be a reflection of Your Kingdom standard through Yeshua Christ Jesus. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.

#Wordfortheweek 2019 Week 4 #New Thing

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”  Isaiah‬ ‭43:18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬

I was privilege to attend an annual retreat with a group of wonderful Christian sisters recently. The theme for the group was based on Isaiah 43:19 – A new thing. Most of us love new things; new house, new car, new clothes, some even new face! At the beginning of each year many have new goals and plans to fulfill for the year. When Elohim God by Himself says He will do a new thing, I want that above all.

‘Old thing’ is defined by Webster dictionary as relating to or occurring in the past. Cambridge dictionary defines it as, of or in an earlier time; before the present time or in the past:

A new thing is a change from the past.

One thing Yahweh God has done for us is to give us a new thing When I look back at who I used to be and who I am now – in Christ, it is a new thing. - my salvation; through Jesus. We are a new creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new… (‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬). We are to remember not our sinful acts through who we used to be and things we used to do that are contrary to righteousness.

We are a new creature. But Elohim is asking, can you not perceive it? Do you not have revelation of who you are in Christ Jesus, the son of the King of kings, Lord of lords?

This new thing that God has done will take you to eternity. This new thing will enable you to walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. You will pass through the rivers and they shall not overflow me. You will walk through the fire and not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
Because you know and perceive and embrace Who He is.

But many of us are still holding on to the former things - Old mindset, traditions of men, things of the flesh, old bad characters and attitudes is still in us. We have the head knowledge of the new thing but not the heart revelation. There is no transformation by the renewal of the mind. You know it, but you have not accepted it, believed it and embraced it. You say the grace is there, but you are not taking hold of the grace.

Elohim has done His part. You must do yours; by walking in the new life in Christ Jesus.
His character must be reflected in yours. Your life, a reflection of His.

You know yourself. How do people experience you? Will they say you talk the talk, and walk the talk? Or is it all about talk.

You know yourself.

#Prayerfortheweek
Almighty Father, in the name of Christ Jesus may I walk in the grace of my salvation in Yeshua. May I remember not the old things. May I walk as a new creature in Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit reflecting Yeshua in talk, in acts and in character. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.

#Wordforthisweek 2019 Week 3 #Prophecy of chains and suffering

“And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me. But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts‬ ‭20:22-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Most of us love to hear prophecy about the good things that will happen in our lives in the future. Unfortunately, a lot of fake ministers have deceived many with wrong prophecies.

The gift of prophecy is of the Lord by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. City to city, the Holy Spirit was revealing the chains and tribulations that Apostle Paul was going to go through in Jerusalem. This was revealed not to one or two but many disciples; in Ephesus, in Tyre, in the house of Phillip the evangelist in Caesarea.  A certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.”

Many of us would have interpreted that as a warning not to go. Paul took it as an encouragement to strengthen himself in the faith, to finish the race with joy and testify to the gospel of the grace of God. And what a testimony he had.

Paul was eventually taken to Rome, where he spent two years sharing the gospel until he was executed. The goal was accomplished - the preaching of the gospel in Rome, part of his legacy.

Not many would be able to say like Apostle Paul, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” Acts‬ ‭21:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. He did not die in Jerusalem but in Rome as was the will of God Acts 23:11.

Thank you Apostle Paul for your faithfulness to the end.

What about you and I? Are WE willing to be faithful even unto death? Let us prayerfully meditate on this for the week.

#Prayerfortheweek
Almighty Father, in the name of Christ Jesus that I may know Christ and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.

#Wordforthisweek 2019 Week 2 A #place of #refuge

“Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”” Matthew‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We usually see ‘Egypt’ as a place of bondage, captivity, pain etc. But it can also been a place of refuge.

The parent of Jesus was told by the angel to take the child Jesus to Egypt because the king wanted to kill him. They lived there till the king died and it was safe to return to Israel.

The tribe of Israel relocated to Egypt during the severe famine to protect them from starvation. Just as their fore father Abraham did many years earlier.
Egypt became a place of protection. But it was a place meant to be temporary not permanent.

If Jesus had stayed permanently in Egypt, he would not have fulfilled purpose.
When the Israelite over-stayed in Egypt the place of protection became the place of bondage, slavery and pain.

When God relocates you for protection, do not by yourself make it permanent. Seek and hear the Lord.

Is where you are a place of protection or your promise land?

This week, reflect on your current location and prayerfully seek the Lord for revelation.

#Prayerfortheweek
Almighty Father, in the name of Christ Jesus may I not settle for Egypt in place of my promise land. Give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You and Your plan for my life. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.

#Wordforthisweek 2019 Week 1 #Time

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Colossians 5:5

We have just come through a season of time – celebrating the birth of Jesus and the New Year 2019.

Jesus spent only 33 earthly years but what a life – purposeful and impactful, a legacy forever.

As we start a new year, what legacy are you planting for when you are gone? Many of us now have a list of ‘to do’s’ for this new year but what is the outcome you want to achieve? A life filled with activities is not necessarily an effective one.

When I reflected on last 2018, I have three outcomes I would like for 2019: to win more people to give their lives to Christ, to see more people live a purposeful life and to grow deeper in my walk with Jesus. How about you?

The three responses to time in my experience is wasting it, making use of it or being indifferent to it. We are encouraged by Apostle Paul to redeem time. I think the older you get the faster time seems to go.

One can maximise time, waste it or ignore it. I prefer a mindfulness approach to time. Be mindful of time, once gone it can never be regained. What outcome would you want to see by the end of this year?

This year, walk wise and redeem time.

#Prayerfortheweek 3 January 2019
Almighty Father, in the name of Christ Jesus teach me to number my days, that I may gain a heart of wisdom. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.
