And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Gen 12:2

One of the most prayed prayers in Christianity is 'Make me a channel of blessing.' It is wonderful to be a blessing to others. I was challenged recently by this prayer.

Many of us pray this but we don't really reflect deeply about what it means. Before you can bless someone, you have to have the means of blessing. What I see is that for many being a blessing is only when it is convenient for us; when it would not hurt us financially or otherwise; when we do not have to sacrifice something else for it.

As a born-again Holy Spirit filled child of Yahweh, what does it mean to be a channel of blessing? How are we being a channel of blessing?

Everlasting Father, give me the grace to be a channel of blessing in deed and not just in words. Help me to understand what it means to be a channel of blessing. Empower me to be even when it's not convenient and to be joyful even in sacrificial giving. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Yeshua Christ Jesus I pray. Amen

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day John 6:40 NKJV

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).

“that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Philemon 1:6 NKJV

The sharing of our faith is only effective by the good thing in us in Yeshus. Part of this ‘good thing’, is the love we show others - refreshing the heart.


This is worth meditating on as our word and prayer for today.
