#WordforToday 14 May 2018 The word of God says it all.

I am washed,
I am sanctified,
I am justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of my God.
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Praise Jehovah

#WordforToday 15 May 2018 That body is not yours

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them.
Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
Flee sexual immorality.
Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:13-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Almighty Father, in the name of Yeshua Jesus, help me to glorify You in my body and in my spirit, which are Yours. Amen

WordforToday 16 May 2018

Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked,
But now commands all men everywhere to repent,
Because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.
He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.
Acts 17:30‭-‬31 NKJV

#PrayerforToday 16 May 2018
Almighthy God, who made the world and everything in it, since You are Lord of heaven and earth, and do not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor are You worshiped with men’s hand. You give to all life, breath, and all things. so that we should seek You. I pray that we might grope for You and find You, though You are not far from each one of us; May Your will be done on earth as in Heaven. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

#WordforToday 17 May 2018 The lord god of your pastor or your Lord God?

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,
“We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.”
Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:11-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

#PrayerforToday 17 May 2018
Almighty Father, may I know You as MY GOD, Yeshua as my Lord and Saviour. May I never depend on another person’s god in the name of Yeshua Jesus. Amen.

#WordforToday 18 May 2018 A minister of the gospel like no other.

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.
And when they had come to him, he said to them: “You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you, serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews; how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:17‭-‬24 NKJV

#PrayerForToday 18 May 2018
Almight Father, I pray fo the Church of Yeshua. That trials, tribulation, persecution for the sake of the gospel of Christ will not move us; no would we count our life dear to ourself, so that we may finish our race with joy, and the ministry which we have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. In name of Yeshua Jesus we pray. Amen.

#WordforToday 21 May 2018. Not fasting and prayer

And many would have declared fasting and prayer to prevent the will of Elohim to be done.
And finding disciples, we stayed there seven days. They told Paul through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.
And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit,
‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’
Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem.
Then Paul answered, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, “The will of the Lord be done.”
Acts 21:4‭, ‬10‭-‬14 NKJV

#PrayerforToday 21 May 2018
Almighty Father let Thy will be done on earth and in heaven. Amen.

WordforToday 10 May 2018 Not in material but spiritual

…that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” I Corinthians 1:29-31 NKJV

In my short life I have seen people started with nothing and then become materially rich. I have heard people testify about their beginnings in poverty, but are now rich. It is a blessing of the Most High who has given us the means to make wealth.

The Corinthian churches were blessed, enriched in everything by Jesus; in all utterance and all knowledge, and not short in gift, (I Corinthians 1:5, 7 NKJV). Unfortunately, this led to boasting and glorying in themselves and their gifts. They started sectarianism and division.
They believed and gloried in their own wisdom.

Apostle Paul had to remind them that 'For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. I Corinthians 1:21 NKJV.

They had nothing to boast about because not many mighty, not many noble, are called.  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; their wisdom, knowledge and abilities are gifts from God so that that no flesh should glory in His presence. (I Corinthians 1:26, 27, 29 NKJV

A good lesson for the ministers of the gospel. The message is not your material wealth, or what you can do or undo. The message is Jesus Christ. The gospel does not need you to glorify the numbers of cars, jets, houses, gold and so forth that you have for people to give their life. In fact, promoting material things above Jesus is asking people to worship the god of mammon not the True God.

Our spiritual leadership standard are the first Apostles; search their history for such boast and you will struggle to find any. These people were used mightily by Jesus Christ.

We think highlighting our material riches will bring people to Christ. Maybe...but is it enough to convert them? There is too much emphasis on material things in Church denominations so much so that it is full of unconverted souls.

‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And[e] honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:8)

Focusing on ourselves in preaching the gospel takes the glory from Yeshua. Let us not elevate our material possession, wisdom or abilities given to us by Elohim, turning people from Him to us; causing sectarianism and divisions. Jesus Christ should be the content of our life and preaching.

WordforToday 9 May 2018 Who is wiser?

“So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.” Luke 16:8 NKJV

When I think about how Facebook has changed the world of friendship, I am amazed.

In just over a decade social media has reshaped the world of business.

A minority group has transformed the world culture on sexual orientation.

The world is being transformed in front of our eyes.

There was a time when Christian faith shaped nations. Laws were changed, society was reformed, culture was impacted. I look at the world today and search for the impact of the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

How are we transforming nations? Have we become so insular that we have let others occupy all the mountains of influence?

“Make disciples of nations”, “Occupy till I come”; “A light set upon the hill cannot be hidden.” And many more in the Holy Scriptures that is meant to reveal our identity, purpose and the will of Elohim for His children.

“For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.” The rebuke by Jesus rings very true even in our generation.  Like the Israelite who thought Moses was not coming back because he tarried on the mountain, we too must not become complacent in the work of the gospel. Jesus is coming back.

All wisdom, knowledge and understanding we need are in the word of God. This should be our primary reference not the world standard.

We are in the world but not of the world. Sons of Elohim should occupy every platform of influence. We have to impact with Kingdom principles and standard, and transform our world. It is not enough to stay in the comfort of the four walls of a church, rubbing salt with salt, our lights hidden within these walls.

Go out and transform the world with your salt. Let your light shine in the darkness of this world. Let us take the world in every culture -  the home, religion, arts & entertainment, media, government, education and business for Christ Jesus.

We are wiser than the sons of this world.

Everlasting Father, may I be wiser than the sons of this world. May I be the salt of the earth and light of my world.  In Jesus name I pray. Amen

WordforToday 8 May 2018 Fire under you

http://www.idioms4you.com/complete-idioms/light-a-fire-under.html

“Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.” Acts 8:1 NKJV

Ten days after Jesus ascended to heaven, the Apostles (Acts 2:1-4) were baptised with the Holy Spirit and the city evidenced this powerful preaching, miracles signs and wonders. Thousands gave their lives to Jesus.

The believers became a family under the leadership of the twelve Apostles. Individuals sold all and brought it to the feet of the Apostles. Like with anywhere there is a group of people there were those who were stronger, weaker, quieter, louder than others leading to conflict. There arose murmuring because daily rations were not being done equitably. So the leaders asked the people to appoint those who in effect became heads of department.

A crisis averted, the family of believers continued in fellowship - comfortable and content. They prayed together, fellowship together; many were added on a daily basis. But this was not the limit of what Jesus wanted.

His directive was to go out and be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8). It was not to have a people who were insular, looking just within their physical stretch, no vision for the work of the gospel.

They continued until Yeshua had enough. He allowed persecution to arise against them, starting with the death of Stephen. They were all scattered throughout the regions except the Apostles. The days of comforts were over. The real work of the gospel had begun and many would pay with their life

This is a lesson for many Churches today. Many are not called to be a bench warmer in a building. Many are not called to depend on Sunday-Sunday fellowships. Many are not called to be insular but to go out into the world and impact it by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, being a witness of His love, mercy and salvation.

Many who are called to be out in the world on missions are stuck in one place. Stephen was given the role of deacon, sorting out administration but he was called to be an evangelist. It took persecution to launch him into his redemptive purpose.

You might be very active in your local assembly. But if you are meant to go to your Judea, Samaria or to the ends of the earth and you refuse to leave Jerusalem, you will be dis-satisfied with where you are. There will be a void in your heart. Do not wait for Yeshua to lit the fire of persecution under you before you listen, hear and obey.

Go preach the gospel and be a witness.

PrayerforToday 8 May 2018
Everlasting Father, give me the grace to step up and out into my redemptive purpose. May I not wait for persecution to do what You have created me for. Help Your Church not to be too comfortable and neglect the work of ministry. May You bless all those who are in the mission field, giving their lives for the spread of the gospel of Your Son my Lord and Saviour.  In His name I pray. Amen

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day John 6:40 NKJV

WordforToday 7 May 2018 Something not for sale

“But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”” Acts 8:20-23 NKJV

Simon used to be a sorcerer. He used witchcraft to perform astonishing things, so much so that the people looked upon him as someone great. They mistook him for a man with the great power of God. They were deceived by the source of his power.

“But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.” And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time. But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.” Acts 8:9-13 NKJV.

As the people turned to the real God, Simon too believed and was even baptised. He became a believer who followed Phillip about. He had all the outlook of a born again believer. I can imagine that he was very active in the ministry. But there was something not right. He was more interested in the miracles and signs he saw being done through Phillip. He knew it was mightier and powerful than any performed through his witchcraft.

When Peter and John came to see and pray for the new believers to receive the Holy Spirit, Simon was intelligent enough to perceive that the source of the power was by the Holy Spirit. He was greedy enough not to wait to be laid hands on before trying to bribe his way through.

Maybe he was prayed for as well but did not receive the Holy Spirit because his heart was not right. His greediness and covetousness was exposed. He wanted the gift for his own purpose, to demonstrate his ‘greatness’. He had no desire to spread the gospel of Jesus. He was only interested in being part of this amazing supernatural movement.

How many so called born again Christians are like this. They have gone through the process but their heart remains hardened - born again by mouth but not indeed.

How many try to buy the ‘gift’ with money, presents, ego-rubbing of spiritual leaders. How many church positions have been based on material inputs rather than content of the heart and outworking of right character.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is
Do not be deceived. You cannot put the power of the Holy Spirit in a bottle and put a price tag on it.

Is your heart right in the sight of God? Is my heart right in the sight of God? He sees the thoughts of our heart. He does not look at outward deeds like men. Man sees positions, titles, wealth to honour but God gives grace to the humble of heart.

It is not too late to repent.

PrayerforToday 1 May 2018
May my heart be right in the sight of God. May Elohim forgive the thoughts of my heart. May I not be poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity. Father, give me revelation where the spirit of sorcery is in use in your Church. Expose every demonic sources wherever they are in operation in your Church.

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day John 6:40 NKJV

#WordforToday 4 May 2018 Show me your friends

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

‘Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are', I used to hear this proverb a lot when I was growing up.  Then, I felt it was that if you moved with the ‘bad’ people you also will become bad. And of course if you move with friends who are ‘nice’ their niceness would rub off on you. Your friends tell a lot about who you were to your parents.

Despite Peter and John being uneducated and untrained (no formal education), their boldness of speech and action astounded the so-called educated, trained and learned leaders of the people. The only explanation they could find was because they had been with Jesus. Isn’t that fantastic! Their friendship with Jesus had rubbed off on them.

There was something different about them, that the only explanation was their relationship with Jesus. They had spent three years with Jesus. His style, wisdom, teachings were now ingrained in them. People were seeing Jesus in them. They have been transformed by the Holy Spirit. May that be same in my life in Jesus name.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed (Proverb 13:20)

The confidence in who Christ was gave the Apostles a boldness based on their understanding of who Jesus was and the power in His name. The outcome of this boldness was the man who had been healed standing right there in front of them (Acts 4:16). A real life evidence of the power in the name of Jesus. The power of faith in Jesus. The power of a repentant and converted life. The power of prayer and baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was then and it is now in us because we are in Christ Jesus. He is the One that will do it and we are His vessel.

As we are known because of our relationship Jesus, we are also open to the same threats and persecution He received when He was here on earth. The enemy will try to stop the spread of the good news. There will be threats, persecution, bullying to prevent the use of the powerful name. We have seen and will continue to have world policies and laws being made to prevent speaking or teaching the truth.

Like Peter and John, would we speak the things which we have seen and heard?

Would we do what is right in the sight of God by listening to Him ad not man?

Are we proud to show people our friend and saviour?

PrayerforToday 4 May 2018
Everlasting Father, may I be a reflection of my friend and saviour Yeshua Jesus in everything.  In His name I pray. Amen

#WordforToday 3 May 2018 On whose Authority?

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?” Acts 4:7

The miracle of the lame man who received strength I his feet and ankle bones (Acts 3:7), leaping and walking and praising God had a ripple of excitement – positive among the people but negative with the priests, Sadducees and other elders. They grumbled and were greatly disturbed especially the Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection of the dead. How could a dead man’s name bring irrefutable healing, it was not possible. So they asked Peter and John by what power or name they did it?

This question was similar to that asked of Jesus by the chief priest and elders in Matthew 21:23 “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”

In the world we live in, to be relevant you must have something – name, educational title, money etc. to give you credibility. The name of Jesus seems not to be enough in most of our Church gatherings today. We are moved by someone’s title – Apostle, Reverend, Prophet, Pastor etc.,

Titles are used as the authority that gives credibility. If I were to enter a church gathering and introduce myself just by my name, the attention I would receive would be different if I were to introduce myself with a positional title. I am amazed by how quickly we give honour to someone because of their wealth or position or title. Unfortunately, because we look for these earthly designation of authority, we miss many who are spiritually gifted in our midst.

The hypocrites expected that only certain people could heal the lame man. Peter and John had no title, hence no human authority. But they had the authority that is above all authorities -  Jesus Christ.

The world can have its own authority structure but the only Authority by which we live, move and have our being is that of Christ Jesus. We must never make the mistake to think that our earthly titles, positions, accreditation, qualification is the power behind our successes in ministry.

Depending on any other name except Jesus Christ as the authority by which we preach and teach, and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit is a fallacy. Our authority is first and foremost Jesus Christ.

I might not have the title before my name but I have Jesus Christ, on whose authority I preach His gospel. What about you?

PrayerforToday 3 May 2018

Everlasting Father, thank You for giving me the authority in Yeshua. May I not depend on any other authority except my Lord and Saviour.  In the name of Yeshua Jesus I pray. Amen

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day John 6:40 NKJV

#WordforToday 2 May 2018 Peel it Off

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, Acts 3:19

The miracle of the lame man brought about five thousand souls to Christ (Acts 4:4). The evidence of the miracle was without question.

When all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him (Acts 3:9).

The gift of salvation is not just confessing and accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
I remembered as a child, when we as children did something wrong, my parents would ask us to apologise and then say that we will not do it again. It was not enough to apologise for what you did but also promise never to do it again. Sometimes the promise is kept…especially when you know the punishment that awaits you if you were caught again!

Many Christians still do some of the things they used to do as unbelievers, and they go back repenting time and time again. Their conscience convicting them and their souls in unrest. How can you have a refreshing time in the presence of the Lord when your conscience is busy pricking you about that sin?

Our process of salvation includes repentance of sin and conversion from the old way of sins to the new way of righteousness in Christ.

Repentance is an action but conversion is a process.

The length of the process could be short or longer depending on how serious the individual takes their salvation. It is not enough to confess and say you repent but you must be converted. The process of conversion is the journey to spiritual maturity. It takes time. It takes self-discipline. It takes diligence in the things of Elohim. And it takes a decision.

A converted Christian is one who has put off the old sinful nature and former way of life which is corrupted by lust and deception and has put on a new nature, created to be like God – truly righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:22-24)

Are you an unconverted Christian? Peel off the old nature. Peel it off! Let the new nature emerge and be seen.

Make a decision today for Christ. Let the Holy Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

PrayerforToday 2 May 2018

Everlasting Father, help me to put off the old sinful nature and former way of life which is corrupted by lust and deception. Let me on the new nature – of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, created to be like You – truly righteous and holy. May the Holy Spirit renew my thoughts and attitudes to be Christ like. In the name of Yeshua Jesus I pray. Amen

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day John 6:40 NKJV

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).

#WordforToday 1 May 2018 The first after the last (2)

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:6

This miracle was in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name. It is not the name of any man or woman of God on earth. Man is a vessel not the source. No other name should be glorified than Jesus.

The miracle was declared as a command ‘Rise up and walk.’ The Apostles were prayed up and full of the Holy Spirit power. They commanded in the name of Jesus and the miracle happened. We should not wait till we have a problem before we devote time to prayer and fasting. Let it be a lifestyle so that we are ready in and out of season to declare the word and give the command.

The miracle was to glorify Almighty God not man. And the people were filled with wonder and amazement. It was not an opportunity to start a miracle business enterprise or to start making man god. No man should be glorified but Elohim.

The miracle was an opportunity to preach about Jesus. Even though Peter and John were arrested, however, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand (Acts 4:4). Use your testimony to preach Christ crucified, the hope of glory, the source of miracle signs and wonders.

Most importantly, salvation is in the name of Jesus. There is miracle, signs and wonder by faith in the name of Jesus. Because God the Father has glorified His Son and given Him the name that is above all names, at the mention of which every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil 2:10,11). Hallelujah!

We don’t have to be a lame man walking, a blind man seeing, a deaf hearing or a dumb speaking. Every day of our life is a miracle. That we are alive is a miracle. That we have the hope of salvation is a miracle.

And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16

The miracle of the lame man is a reminder that faith in the name of Jesus can reverse the seemingly irreversible. May we not miss that appointed time of miracle. As a servant of Yeshua, He will use us for His miracle, signs and wonder for the glory of His name

PrayerforToday 1 May 2018
Almighty Father, May I not miss my time of miracle in Jesus name. May I be ready in faith and through a prayed up life to be a vessel for miracle, signs and wonders. May I keep my eyes focused on Christ and not be distracted by what is going on around me or my problems. Amen

It is the will of the everlasting Father that you may have everlasting life through Jesus. See Him in the Holy Scriptures, believe in Him and He will raise you up on the last day ‭‭John‬ ‭6:40‬ ‭NKJV

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).
