I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 NKJV
The bible is filled with nuggets of wisdom for living. Sometimes though I read a verse and I wonder how do I do that?
I do understand that believers depend on grace and are empowered by the Holy Spirit. However between these two and the actual act, there is something in between. I have come to realise this something is ‘will’. It is the will to do that helps you connect grace and the act.
Let’s take something simple as not lying. It takes will to actually not lie no matter the consequence. You know what to do and do it not because the will is missing.
Despite all the preaching we get in Church, a person will not be transformed if they do not have the will to take the necessary actions. When you have vision of where you want to get to, it is your will to get there that will keep you moving towards it.
We are commanded to abound in love. If we wait to feel love we shall wait forever. You have to will yourself to love people irrespective. It is a decision.
When we talk about people who are strong willed, they do not give up easily. They are determined to achieve their objective and reach their goal. In our Christian walk, we have to be strong willed - in living out our faith, transforming our lives inside out and being an ambassador of the Kingdom of Elohim God.
The will to do something or be someone is a decision taken and a determination to see it through.
Sure, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you but do you have the will to see it through?

Almighty Father, thank You for the gift of my life and salvation. May I live to do Your will in the name of Yeshua Christ Jesus. Amen
I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Spend this week to meditate on the passage and take relevant step to live out your faith.
