#WordforToday 03 April 2018 The best gift ever

“The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

We just celebrated commemoration of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ - the world call it Easter. As I reflected on the reason for the death of Jesus, I was once again humbled by the depth of the love of the Almighty God.

Because God is holy, only those who are holy can come into and abide in his presence.  Who can ascend into the hill of the Lord? He who has a clean hands and a pure heart. There is no one in this earth who can claim to have a clean hand and pure heart in all things. No-one. Our sinful flesh is inherited from the fall of the first man. It does not matter what we do, how much we try, our flesh still lust after its own.

But God gave us Jesus

God knew we can’t be holy by our-self. It is not possible. The only way was to send His son, to come in the image of humanity and live a sinless life so that we can have access to the power to live with clean hands and pure heart. What manner of love is this?

By and through and in Jesus, we are approved to ascend into the hill of the LORD.

What do you have to do? Give your life to Him. Live in Him. And be determined to continue in Him.

Almighty Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for the gift of my salvation. Thank You for loving me so much Thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus. Give me the grace to live with a clean hand and pure heart all the days of my life. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).
