“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalms‬ ‭16:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Every believer has a workplace - we were not born-again to be idle. Your workplace could be the church and/or the world. In the world, we are called market or workplace ministers. We are Christ ambassadors in the work or marketplace.

How do we live out our faith in the workplace? We cannot compartmentalise our life into Sundays and other days. We are in full time ministry, as a born-again child of God. We are His ambassadors on earth, representing His Kingdom.

Wherever we are, our consciousness must be about this identity and our responsibility to live this out, irrespective of where or who or what.

The two glorious examples in the bible of excellent workplace ministers were Joseph and Daniel. Both were taken as slaves from their home, and both became ministers of the Lord in their workplace. Joseph, first in Potiphar’s home and then he became prime minister as we could call it. He was second only to Pharaoh. Daniel rose to become chief administrator over the advisors - the wise men. He sat in the ‘gate’ of the king – where decisions were made.

These two men never compromised on their faith and they were highly exalted by Elohim in the presence of men. Their lives are examples to us in the workplace, we have no reason to fear reproach for our faith.

What can we learn from the lives of these two wonderful servants of Elohim-God?

⁃ Embrace your identity. Do not deny Jesus and your faith.

⁃ Have God-centered values, don’t compromise your faith. Be purposeful in what you do. Daniel purposed in his heart that he will not defile himself with the king’s delicacies

⁃ Bring God into it whenever opportunity arises. Tell anyone interested who is your helper and trust.

⁃ Demonstrate kingdom character: humility, patience, gentleness, kindness etc. Put people at the center of everything.

⁃ Be hardworking, no slothfulness

⁃ Make quality work your standard: ensure you have the ability for the job (Daniel and his friends were chosen because they met the criteria). Your gifts-skills and abilities must fit the job

⁃ Be joyful in your work and countenance

⁃ Be trustworthy: your yes is yes, and no is no.

God is the one that will do the extraordinary in your life and work. He will bring you into favour with people. He will show you the path of life when you take His presence with you to your workplace.

Almighty Father, thank You for the gift of my salvation. Thank you for making me a new creation. I am bold. I am courageous. I am Christ ambassador in the workplace. I will show forth Your praise to the glory of Your name. In the name of Yeshua I pray. Amen

I pray that this inspire you to reflect on your relationship with Elohim and be determined to be more and do more for Him each day.

#WordforToday 14 Nov 2018 Starve it to death

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:8 NKJV

I found the above passage fascinating. I always find the word of Elohim fascinating anyway. I found it illuminating that it is possible to sow to the flesh or the Spirit.

Elohim set in place this universal principle of sowing and reaping. You sow into a soil. If the soil is fertile and receives necessary nutrients the seed germinates, grows and bring forth its fruit. If you sow to a soil that is not fertile, maybe dead or it's starved of nutrient the seed will not germinate

Now let us imagine our flesh is the soil. When we sow seeds - hatred, lies, unkindness, offence, unforgiveness etc, nurture these with acts and actions that feeds on it then we will reap the fruit of the flesh . Where the flesh is very much alive, these seeds will germinate, grow and produce fruits after its kind.

God's timeless principle of sowing and reaping.

As long as your flesh is still alive to the world and the things of the world you are providing a fertile ground for the seeds of sin. If the flesh is dead, no seed of corruption can germinate not to talk of grow.

Starve your flesh of the lust of the eyes, of the flesh and the pride of life. Do not provide the necessary nutrient for the seed of the flesh to grow. Spend your time sowing to the things of the Spirit.

Almighty Father, thank You for giving us Your timeless principle of sowing and reaping. Help me to sow to the Spirit and not the flesh that I may reap everlasting life. Give me the grace to put to death those things of the flesh. In the name of Yeshua Jesus I pray. Amen

Seeing the invisible...

In many Churches all over the world, the first Sunday of every month is dedicated for thanksgiving. We hear testimonies of what God has done in people's life in the past and currently.

It is easy to give thanks to what we can see, hear or feel. However there are many other things to give thanks to God for; those things we can not see but are there nevertheless.

When the King of Syria was after Elisha, his servant was frightened when he saw the army with multitude of horses and chariots sent to capture one man.

He exclaimed; “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” (‭II Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬ NKJV)

But Elisha answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “ LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (‭II Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭16-18‬ NKJV).

Give thanks to God for the wall of fire surrounding you and yours. And pray that God will open your eyes to see that those who are with you are more than your enemies...

Pruning for growth

I live in an area that has many trees. One day on my way from work, I noticed a row of trees have had all the branches chopped off! 'Why did they do that?' I asked myself. A few months later, I was intrigued to see leaves had started sprouting from the cut off branches. It did not need the branch to grow longer because it was still connected to the trunk which was still connected with the root that fed it.

Sometimes in life we go through a period when it seems we've been stripped of nearly everything if not all. We go through challenges that leaves us feeling vulnerable; maybe our job is gone, no income is coming in, our spouse have left us, we feel all alone and we are wondering why LORD?

Like those trees near my home, maybe we are going through our season of pruning. Maybe there are some dead leaves and branches that needs to be cut out of our trunk so that our lives can become even more fruitful and productive.

The trees were still able to produce green leaves because they were still connected to their root that gives them their nutrient for living. Just remain grounded in Jesus, the season shall pass and you will be even more fruitful.

If you are willing..

This past week has been awesome. I witnessed the healing power of the Holy Spirit as a sister in my Church was healed after walking on crutches for four months.

Every time, I see the manifestation of God's power it blows me away. Earlier this year, another sister of mine delivered a bouncing baby girl after waiting on the LORD for eleven years with three miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. When you are going through one challenge or the other, especially that which you have no control over what can you do but to depend on God? When God answers your prayers it would seem as if you were dreaming.

As I continue my bible study goal - currently reading the Book of Mark. I was reading the many miracles of Jesus again with new revelation. You can take lessons from each one; however the one that I would like to focus on here is that of the Leper (Mark 1:40-45). This man had leprosy, with no hope of cure at that time. He would have been living in isolation; no family, no job, no social like except with like lepers. I wonder how he was able to get through the people and reach Jesus? Yet he did. How long had he been in that condition we don't know. Yet he had not given in to his terrible condition. He heard about Jesus and got up to make his way to Him. I can just imagine him covering himself from head to toe, making his way through the crowd to kneel at the feet of Jesus say, 'If You are willing, You can make me clean.'

And Jesus moved with compassion responded, 'I am willing, be cleansed.' Immediately the leprosy left him. Can you imagine the mouth gaping, eye popping wonder! It would seem like a dream; one minute the man whose skin was full of lesion now has a skin as soft and smooth like a baby.

Jesus is willing to cleanse us from all our infirmities. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. When He touches you, there is no way you would be able to keep it to yourself but will proclaim it freely like the man healed of leprosy... like the sister who can walk and jump... like the sisters that cuddles her daughter.

Are you waiting and expecting God's miracle in your life? Don't give up and don't give in. Your time of healing is at hand.

A life worthy of celebrating

Recently, I attended the funeral of one of my close friends' mum and this brought back to me the reality of death once again. At the church service, I looked into the lifeless body in the casket and later on at the cemetery I watched as it was lowered into the open grave.

Two events that man has no control over is life's birth and it's death. No one can give the breath of life and our death is a sure thing. So how do we use the time between our birth and death?

When I was writing my book; Living a fearless Life, one of my best friends died in her forties. I was saddened and felt the pain of loss ~ I will never see her again in this world. The pain of loss was gut wrenching, even now I can still feel the numbness of loss.

I was able to confront my fear of death as I wrote the book. You know what, death brings rest from the world's hustle and bustle. We rest until we are awaken to a glorious eternal life with Christ. Once you are dead, you feel no more pain or sorrow but those you leave behind are left with the pain of loss.

King David prayed, 'Lord teach me to number my days.' Since physical death is as certain as the breadth we take, I am determined to maximise my time on earth, using it to the glory of God for the hope of eternal life. I want to positively impact lives here on earth. When My time is up, I do not want tears but a celebration and worship to Almighty God in honor of my sojourn here on earth.

In the corner of the world where I came from, most people are superstitious about talking of death. It is believed that when you talk about death, it is a premonition of your death. You know what the word of God declares 'I will not die but I will live and declare the works of the LORD' (Psalm118:17).

'With long life will God satisfy me.' (Psalms 91:16). Live your life worthy of celebrating!
