#WordforToday 8th January 2018 Stunted spiritual growth.

And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Genesis 32:26‭-‬28 NKJV.

Jacob wrestled with the angel all night till daybreak. He refused to let go until He received a blessing. And what a blessing. The blessing Jacob received was not just an ordinary name change but an extraordinary blessing for eternity.

I can imagine that word, changed Jacob's life forever. But he had to wrestle for it. We are privileged that our wrestling is in prayer. Many Christians are too lazy to tarry in prayer. We think intercessors have special gifting in prayer. Our laziness in prayer means that we are dependent on someone else hearing from God for the direction of our life. Many have stunted spiritually growth due to laziness in prayers.

Have you heard the direction (or prophetic word) for your life this year? I am not talking about someone else telling you what God has said for 2018. I mean what God has said to you concerning your life for this year. If you keep looking for 2018 prophecies, you might end up missing God's specific direction for your life.

A christian that is growing spiritually will tarry in prayer and hear God for themselves. That is the essence of having a personal relationship with Jesus. Prophecies from others will affirm or confirm what Elohim has already revealed to you. Your level of spiritual maturity will be reflected in the depth of revelation you received yourself from your Lord and personal Savior.

Are you growing or is your growth stunted due to lack of wrestling in prayer?

#PrayerforToday 8th January 2018
Almighty Father, in the name of Yeshua Ha Mashiach, give me the grace to tarry in prayer to You. I will not grow weary. I will not be lazy. I will find joy in prayer. Amen.

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).
