#WordforToday 12 February 2018 Full, half or empty?

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. (Romans 5: 1-2 NKJV)

The first Adam was created sinless. He even had access to the Tree of Life in the garden of Eden. This sinless life was based on the condition of complete obedience to his Creator. As we know the story he disobeyed and he was cut off from his God. And because of his sin and through his seed sin gained dominion over mankind and with it, the end product - death.

Jesus, was like a second Adam, born sinless - of the holy Spirit not the seed of man. He lived a life of total obedience to His Father. By giving his sinless life as a sacrifice for all, those who believe and have faith in him have access to the gift of righteousness with God.

The mistake many christian make is that, having received this grace by believing and accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour, they think they can still continue in sin. The first Adam was without sin at the beginning and he needed to continue as such through obedience. His disobedience lost him eternal life. The second Adam, our Saviour Jesus was born without sin and continued without sin through his complete obedience. Note that partial obedience, sometimes obedience, few times disobedience is same as disobedience.

How then can we continue with disobedience to our Heavenly Father, and still think we can retain His grace?

Lets be perfectly clear, the bible says “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.” Hebrews‬ ‭10:26-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

If one can sin wilfully (synonyms - deliberate, purposeful, intentionally) then it is possible to be deliberate, intentional and purposeful about complete obedience to Almighty God.

Are you still walking in complete or partial obedience? Or total disobedience? Repent today for tomorrow may be too late.

#PrayerforToday 12th February 2018
Almighty Father, thank You for the gift of my salvation. Thank You for justifying me by faith and making me at peace with Your through Christ. Give me and all Your children the grace to continue in complete obedience to You. In the name of Yeshua my Lord and Saviour I pray. Amen

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).
