#WordforToday 28th February 2018 Not ordinary but extraordinary

But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. Luke 1:!3

The story of the birth of Jesus will be incomplete without that of John the Baptist. He was six months older than Jesus and they were cousins in the natural (I think they were best friends in heaven as well!).

John was born with the seed of man, thus had the indwelling sin. However it was not recorded anywhere that He sinned. It is possible my Christians friends, to live in this wicked world without sin, so stop blaming your flesh for your conscious decisions and actions.

Going back to John, his birth to one who was called barren was prophesied by the chief of angels - Gabriel like Jesus was. To fulfill the purpose of God - the One who turns the impossible to very possible. With God nothing is impossible. It's never too late with Him. That is why we must be steadfast and diligent in faith and trust  in Him. Have you been crying because people are calling you barren, your tears of sorrow shall turn to tears of joy soon. Be steadfast in faith. God heard Zacharias' prayers, He will surely hear yours. Our God is not deaf or hard of hearing.

John's birth was announced as glad tidings by Angel Gabriel. His name John (Yahweh is gracious) was given by God Himself and from the womb he was filled with the Holy Spirit. What a marvelous conception.
The purpose of his life is to 'turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”  Luke 1:16‭-‬17 NKJV.

He was to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. His life in his generation was not ordinary. John's life from his conception to his death was extraordinary. His death signified the start of the ministry of our Lord Jess Christ.

Every child born was created for a purpose. Is your child giving you problems? do not get stuck in the problems, seek God to know His purpose for your child. Start praying this into being. We are not born to go to hell. God's purpose for us is to give us a hope for eternity and a future. We are not born for an ordinary but extraordinary living.

#PrayerforToday 28 February 2018
May the LORD turn our bareness to fruitfulness in Jesus name. Fill our children with the Holy Spirit even from the womb. Father help us to fulfill Your purpose for our life.In the name of Yeshua my Lord and Saviour I pray. Amen.

I pray this inspires you to be more and do more for Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).
